Welcome to Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd!
This website, along with all the information and services it provides, is offered to you by Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16145675). By visiting our website and placing an order, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined here.
We encourage you to read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website. By continuing to browse or interact with the site, you confirm your acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we kindly ask that you refrain from using the website or our services.
Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd reserves the right to revise these terms at any time by updating this page. Changes take effect immediately upon posting, and by continuing to use the website, you agree to any updates.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
Deposits and Payments
- To secure your order and the agreed pick-up or delivery date, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable except where the cancellation terms below expressly allow a partial goodwill refund.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the pick-up or delivery of your order. Payments can be made via bank transfer, cash, or other agreed-upon methods.
- If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours of receiving the invoice, the date may no longer be available, and the order will not be processed.
- Quotes for bespoke cakes will be provided after discussing and finalising all details.
Delivery and Pick-Up
- Orders may be collected at a pre-agreed time or delivered to a pre-agreed address and time slot.
- Customers are welcome to inspect the exterior and visible condition of the cake at handover. If there is an obvious issue, please raise it with us straight away while we are still present.
- Where Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd provides the delivery, the order remains our responsibility until it is handed to you or to a person you have identified to receive it.
- Once an order has been collected by you or your nominated person, responsibility for safe transport, storage and handling passes to you.
- If you arrange your own third-party courier, taxi, ride-share driver or other carrier that is not offered by us as a delivery option, risk passes to you when the order is handed to that carrier.
- Fresh cakes can be sensitive to heat, sunlight, movement, vibrations and uneven surfaces, especially if they include buttercream, ganache, fondant details, toppers or tiered construction. They should be transported level, kept cool and handled with care.
- Unless cake-specific instructions are provided, cakes should be refrigerated promptly after collection or delivery and allowed to settle for at least 2 hours before serving.
Reference Images and Design Interpretation
- Customers are welcome to share inspiration photos, Pinterest boards, links and mood boards as part of the design brief.
- These references are used to guide the overall style, colour palette, shape and key decorative elements of the order.
- Because each cake is made to order and tailored to the agreed size, servings, flavours, fillings, finish and structure, exact line-by-line duplication of another cake artist’s work is not offered.
- The finished cake will be created in line with the agreed brief rather than as a guaranteed photographic replica, and may include reasonable artistic adjustments to proportions, decorative placement, texture and detail scale.
- If certain details are essential — such as wording, colours, bows, cherries, pearls, florals or a topper — these should be clearly identified before the order is finalised.
Order Modifications
- Flavour changes for bespoke cakes can be made up to 1 week before the pick-up or delivery date.
- Design changes for bespoke cakes must be requested at least 2 weeks prior to the pick-up or delivery date.
- Agreed pick-up or delivery dates may be rescheduled depending on availability.
- Any additional charges for modifications will be communicated and must be agreed upon before changes are made.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable because they reserve your date and cover planning, admin and preparation costs.
- If you cancel 14 days or more before the scheduled pick-up or delivery date, Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd may, at its discretion, refund up to 50% of the deposit, provided no bespoke work has started and no specific ingredients, toppers, materials or third-party services have been purchased for your order.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled pick-up or delivery date are not eligible for a deposit refund and may require full payment where work has already started or perishable/custom materials have been committed.
- Cancellations for cupcakes, cookies, and smaller treats can be made up to 1 week before the agreed date; any refund depends on work already completed and materials committed.
- Because our products are made to order, often personalised, and are perishable food items, the standard 14-day cooling-off cancellation period for distance sales does not apply to confirmed orders.
- Refunds for cancellations due to exceptional circumstances may be considered at the sole discretion of Dreamy Cake Studio Ltd.
- This does not affect your statutory rights if a product is faulty, not as described, or was already damaged at the point of handover.
